Judy Harron

Growing up in Woodbury, NJ and Weston, CT, Judy was always drawing and painting. After graduating from Wells College, her primary mediums were watercolor and acrylics. In 2005, she rediscovered soft pastels. She immediately fell in love with pastels and has been hooked ever since.

Natural subjects, intricate patterns, designs and textures are most interesting to Judy. Sometimes surreal or fantasy elements are introduced into her work, intending to explore boundaries, contrasts, and connections between man’s need for order and structure and nature’s seeming randomness.

Judy says that stained glass paintings are fun to construct, weaving together reality and imagination. Her work has been selected and included in international, national and statewide shows.
